Lord Krishna is the eighth Avatar of Lord Vishnu, his birthday is coming on the 4th of September. According to vedic scripture, Lord Krishna plays an enlightening role in the Mahabharata (great epic) giving us the life enduring message from the Bhagawat Gita. This is the festival of sweets and revives of the childhood stages of Lord Krishna. The lord is worshiped by offering milk, curd, butter, cream, fruits and flowers.
