  • What is Vedic Astrology (Jyotish)?

As the oldest branch of astrology, the roots of Vedic astrology (usually referred as "Jyotish") go back to 500 BC or more. Vedic Astrology has not been not experimentally contrived, but rather developed through progressive thinking by an ancient sage Parasara, the original author of the Vedic texts and that is why this scientific art has been mentioned in the Vedas as well. Carried down through generations, it involves using a unique system of sub divisional chart and dasas that are based on an individual's date, time and place of birth, which if read by a trained Vedic astrologer can give surprising results.

The Vedic Astrology (Jyotish) analysis takes up on the law of karma, which states that whatever a human being does, the effects of it comes back to them. Thus, regarded as predictive in nature, Vedic Astrology can show when the consequences of such former actions will come to fulfilment in the present life. Pandit Umesh has the unique skill of studying the effects of this particular science on a person's life.
